Here, we list dates of upcoming branch meetings, social events
and survey meetings, as well as other events taking place in the
Renfrewshire Branch area. The Renfrewshire Branch of CAMRA meets
on the first Monday of each month.
Due to the summer
holiday season, there is no meeting in July and August and at
New Year, there is no January meeting. Meetings start at 8.00pm
prompt and during the winter months, they are held around Paisley
town, while in the spring and summer around the rural 'county'
area.

Celebrate Mild in May
|
CAMRA promotes Mild throughout May and celebrates National Mild Day on Saturday 3 May 2008. Renfrewshire branch has written to all Real Ale outlets in the area and asked them to consider putting Mild on in May.
The Fox and Hounds, home to the Houston Brewing Company, have responded superbly and will have a different mild on each Week during May, with two on during their beer festival, Sunday 11th May. Milds on order are;
Belhaven 60/ 2.9% Thwaites Dark Mild 3.3% Wensleydale Lidstones Rowly Mild 3.2% Acorn Brewery Darkness Mild 4.2% (being brewed especially to support Mild in May) Please support the Fox and Hounds and this endangered beer species. Cask conditioned Mild is a rarity in a lot of parts of the country, which is a crying shame, because Mild is a distinctive and tasty beer. Mild is one of, if not the, oldest beer styles in the country.
