visit to Fyne Ales brewery 2006 |
This
year's social trip to the Fyne Ales Brewery at Achadunan
Farm near Cairndow at the head of Loch Fyne in Argyll was on Saturday
19 August 2006. The weather stayed ‘fyne’ throughout the day
and a good time was had by all.
A
fully booked coach full of CAMRA members and friends enjoyed the
wide range of Fyne Ales on offer and the hospitality of owners
Jonny and Tuggy Delap. Renfrewshire Branch chairman Danny Matheson
presented Jonny and Tuggy with a tankard and certificate for Fyne
Ales ‘Maverick’ voted as the ‘Champion Beer of the Paisley Beer
Festival 2006’ in a blind tasting to the highest CAMRA specification.
Jonny
says one of the contributing factors to the success of Fyne Ales
is the soft and clear water from the glens around Loch Fyne which
make Fyne Ales awarding winning beers.
